Nothing like sharing the good times and the bad with your closest friends.
The Ateneo Blue Eagles of recent years have forged a closely-knit fraternity popularly known as BEBOB— Blue Eagles, Band of Brothers.
But long before BEBOB became a thing, Ateneo’s hoopers of years past had already developed lasting friendships.
A case in point is the for-life brotherhood shared by former Ateneo stars LA Tenorio, Enrico Villanueva, and Paolo Bugia, who together won a championship for the Blue Eagles in 2002.
And on Thursday, Villanueva and Bugia gave their former floor general a timely assist, accompanying him to Singapore for his seventh chemotherapy session on his road to cancer recovery.
Tenorio posted on his Instagram some behind-the-scenes photos of his latest medical trip to Singapore, along with a caption that gave even more good news on his long road to recovery.
“7/12 – PRAY,HOPE AND DON’T WORRY! 🙏🙏🙏,” Tenorio wrote. “Thank you LORD!! 🙏🙏🙏.”
Of course, he also thanked his Blue Eagle brethren for taking time out to be with their court general.
“Thank you to my big brothers for life @hen_14 (Villanueve)and @bugs021 (Bugia) for being with me on this journey since day one,” added Tenorio. “And good thing nakasama ka Enrico and you heard it from the doctor the Good news din and I am doing okay and doing great! 😝🙏. #AMDG🦅#OBF#RoadtoRecovery#NSD#LaBAN.”
That is certainly great news for the PBA’s Iron Man, who had just gotten to the halfway mark of his chemotherapy two weeks ago and was equally grateful for the progress he has been making.
This time around, his band of brothers from Ateneo heard the good news in person.
