Saint Dwight definitely has Paul Lee’s respect.
Even without stepping on a PBA or UAAP court, Dwight Ramos has seemingly caught the attention of several hoopers in the country.
Ramos’ game has been impressive to say the least—whether he’s playing for Gilas Pilipinas or Levanga Hokkaido in the Japan B.League.
So much so that even Magnolia Hotshots star Paul Lee had to single out Ramos for being the player that he was most impressed with in the Gilas roster.
“Na-impress lang ako kay Dwight Ramos talaga. Magaling talaga siya. Tsaka, malakas pala nung katawan nun,” Lee said on One Sports’ The Game.
“Parang nakaraan nabibilib ako sa kanya 'yung hindi niya pinepwersa 'yung laro pero sobrang parang effortless,” he added.
The Angas ng Tondo even got honest about the scenario of Ramos playing in the UAAP.
“Buti nalang hindi rin nakapaglaro ng UAAP,” said Lee. “Naawa ako sa mga players ng UAAP.”
Arguably one of the biggest UAAP ‘What if’ scenarios has to be if Dwight Ramos played for the Ateneo Blue Eagles.
Maybe Ateneo wouldn’t have lost UAAP Season 84 and continued their dynasty.
But given Ramos’ talents, it was best for him to go abroad and grow even further as a player.
Fans, of course, are hoping that Ramos could play in the PBA at some point and maybe even face off against Lee and the Hotshots.
That’ll be a must-see match for sure.
