Avid followers of Paul Lee would know that the Angas ng Tondo does not skip the grind. It's well documented on his Instagram accounts and there's a regular clip of workout videos uploaded.
"Don't skip your breakfast," Lee reminds his followers. By breakfast there, he does not mean bacon and egg. It's the often not-seen work behind his success. Nobody could question the PBA veteran's work ethic, so it means someone is doing the right thing he gets a compliment of the nature from Lee.
In an IG story, the Magnolia Hotshots guard shared his admiration for his two unheralded teammates, Joseph Eriobu and Jed Mendoza.
"Saludo sa dalawang player na ito! Isang patunay na kapag masipag ka, malayo mararating mo," Lee said.
Eriobu has clawed his way back to the league after leaving in 2019.
Drafted by the Mahindra franchise in 2016, the 31-year-old forward would find himself playing overseas in Hong Kong from 2019 to 2020. He shifted to the 3x3 scene and even won a silver medal in the previous SEA Games before the Magnolia franchise granted him a contract.
As for Mendoza, the former JRU Heavy Bomber and one-and-done UE Red Warrior was literally the last pick in the 2020 draft. He would prove his worth to the Hotshots during the PBA On Tour as a solid practice partner for Mark Barroca.
Now the trio have a mission to help Magnolia snap its half-decade of title drought.
