During Ateneo's penultimate game in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion, the former Blue Eagle standout showed his unwavering support for the Katipunan-based squad, accompanied by his beloved fiancée.
In a heartfelt interview with One Sports, Kiefer shared the romantic story behind his proposal in Japan.
“Masaya naman, it's something that we both wanted to happen in our lives. Tapos nangyari siya sa Japan, do’n ako naglalaro ngayon,” he revealed.
It was a special moment for both of them as Diana visited Japan to watch Kiefer play with the Yokohama B-Corsairs for the first time, and Kiefer knew it was the perfect opportunity to pop the question.
“She visited to watch me for the first time. I think everything went well. More than anything, I got the yes,” he said with a smile.
For Diana, the moment was nothing short of magical, though the emotions left her somewhat speechless.
“I couldn’t remember a word he said. Basta, it was a perfect moment,” she confessed, her eyes still filled with the glow of that unforgettable day.
With both Kiefer and Diana focused on their respective careers—he in the midst of the B.League season, and she dedicated to her work—the couple is taking their wedding plans one step at a time.
“We’re both busy now with work. She’s working; the [Japan B.League] season starts already. I guess the planning comes naturally the more we talk about it,” Kiefer shared, his tone filled with excitement for the future.
But one thing is certain: their dream wedding will be an intimate affair, surrounded only by the people they cherish most.
“Definitely, we want a very intimate, closed, solemn wedding with our families,” Kiefer said, as they began to envision their life together.
