Now you can call him a PBA champion.

After more than six years in the league, former La Salle star Jeron Teng finally hoisted his first championship Wednesday following San Miguel’s cardiac 104-102 clincher over Magnolia in Game Six of the Commissioner’s Cup finals.

“It’s special,” said the 32-year-old Teng as the Beermen celebrated with their families and friends on centercourt at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

What made this milestone even more meaningful was that he won with the same team where his dad, PBA legend Alvin, got his multiple titles.

“I’m really blessed na nakuha ko pa sa San Miguel kasi 'yung dad ko played proudly for San Miguel,” said the two-time UAAP champion, whose father watched from the sidelines with the rest of the Teng family.

After getting his first crown in the professional ranks, it goes without saying that the fifth pick in the 2017 draft is craving for more chips. And with him playing with the Beermen's “Death 15” featuring seven-time MVP June Mar Fajardo and newly-minted Best Player of the Conference and Finals MVP CJ Perez for the foreseeable future, that seems highly likely.

“I’m really blessed that I was given the chance to play for San Miguel. Words can’t describe how happy I am,” he said.
