George King repeatedly did the crowning gesture on himself.

Unloading quadruples and soaring for slams, King sat on the winning throne Saturday, Sept. 21, as Blackwater stunned undermanned San Miguel, 111-94, in the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup on Saturday, Sept. 21.

The Bossing thus rejoined fellow quarterfinal-seeking NLEX at fourth with their identical 4-5 cards, with both teams jostling for just a single slot to the next round.

King shone with 49 points, connecting from deep as he went 4-for-10 from the four-point arc and 2-for-4 from three-point range. He complemented his scoring with 11 rebounds and four assists.

King poured 11 points in the opening period, helping Blackwater post a 30-21 lead at the end of the frame then came through with the timely baskets from there to keep its foe at bay.
