CJ Cansino showed what he was capable of as he helped usher Meralco back to the win column via a 124-82 pummeling of Terrafirma in the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Cansino poured 15 points he topped with three assists, two rebounds and two steals as the Bolts collected their seventh win against three losses to clinch the second seed behind No. 1 TNT (7-2) in Group A.

With Stanley Pringle joining injury-hit Christian Standhardinger and Juami Tiongson on the bench, the Dyip hardly had anything left in their arsenal and failed to capitalize on their breakthrough victory over TNT the last time out.

Pringle, who was already nursing a hurt knee against the Tropang Giga, sat out against Meralco as his knee was swelling.

As such, the Bolts had no problem in opening the match with a 34-15 lead, setting the tone for the rout.

While Meralco was able to recover from a previous loss to Converge as it wrapped up its elimination round assignment, Terrafirma saw an end to its campaign in the import-laced conference with just a solitary victory to show in 10 matches.

Alvin Pasaol paced the Bolts with 21 points and eight rebounds, reinforcement Allen Durham contributed 14 markers and seven boards, Raymar Jose logged 12 points while Brandon Bates added 11 points and seven boards.

Antonio Hester and Mark Louie Sangalang combined for 35 points for Terrafirma which fielded in only 10 players.
