The Akari Chargers are lighting up the path and leading the charge.

The PVL squad took a break from hard training last Saturday, June 3, to hold a volleyball clinic for students at Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma High School in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City.

"We make it happen, ‘cause we believe it. We make it happen, ‘cause we see it," the Chargers posted on Instagram on June 10.

"It will always be a pleasure to promote the love and passion for this sport."

The entire squad was present to train young volleyball athletes with their form. Even coach Jorge Souza de Brito was teaching kids about proper setting.

"We’re rooting for you, little dreamers. We see it, and we believe it!" The Chargers added.

Bang Pineda, Akari's libero who played with the national team, was circumspect in helping out kids.

"Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more," she shared on Instagram, quoting American author Horace Jackson Brown Jr.

Rookie Faith Nisperos, who hails from the Ateneo Blue Eagles, was also present and showed off her pink uniform.

Akari tapped Nisperos and former Army Black Mamba Lady Trooper Luth Malaluan to reinforce its ranks in a crowded PVL field for the Invitational Conference.

The Chargers have been drawn in Group A to compete with defending champions Creamline Cool Smashers, along with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, the PLDT High Speed Hitters, and the new squad Gerflor Defenders.

Only the top two squads in the group can advance to the semifinals, where there will be another round-robin along with two foreign guest teams.

The PVL Invitational Conference will start on June 27.
