Jessey de Leon is a lot of things. A volleyball player. A licensed architect. A TikTok connoisseur. A good friend who will will smell your armpit. And now, a future leading lady in a Netflix series?
OK, that may be too implausible. But she sure looks like one.
On Wednesday, the middle blocker of the PLDT High Speed Hitters joined the Korean AI trend on Instagram and the results were striking. Name any Korean superstar actress—Park Min-young, Son Ye-jin, Song Hye-kyo—de Leon could give them a run for their Korean won.
The former UST standout, however, said in her caption that she looked more Japanese than Korean.
De Leon's fellow volleyball star, Jaja Santiago, certainly thought so as well.
Still, many appreciated her Asian beauty, with her post garnering close to 5,000 likes, as of writing. Even other athletes like Thirdy Ravena, Eya Laure, Jennifer Nierva, Sisi Rondina, Kamille Cal, and Trina Guytingco, among others, gave it a like.
Now, if only de Leon could convince her BFF Mika Reyes to join the Korean AI trend as well.
De Leon will once again be a steadying presence for the High Speed Hitters in the upcoming PVL Invitational Conference, which will start on June 27. The fired-up squad is looking to improve its connection after falling short of a podium finish in the All-Filipino tilt.
