The excitement for the upcoming PVL Invitational Conference is through the roof.

Fans can’t wait to see their favorite teams get back on the court, while many are also excited to see the three new teams that have joined the pro league.

All-out action is expected once the PVL resumes with all 11 teams expected to make a run for the title.

With that in mind, here’s how or why these teams will win the PVL Invitational crown.

Akari Chargers: Unpredictability

The Chargers will be coming into the Invitational Conference with purpose as they try to exceed expectations and make a name for themselves in the league.

The biggest reason Akari could bring home the crown is their unpredictability.

Fans sometimes never know what to expect from this young Chargers squad. And with the addition of Faith Nisperos to the team, Akari may just have that extra push it needs to get over the hump.

Chery Tiggo Crossovers: New talent

The Crossovers arguably had the biggest talent haul during this offseason. The addition of Eya Laure, Imee Hernandez, Jennifer Nierva, Ces Robles, and Joyme Cagande will prove to be vital in Chery Tiggo’s championship aspirations.

Of course, with Mylene Paat steering the team, adding new talent might just be that one big move the Crossovers have been waiting for to finally compete for the title.

Choco Mucho Flying Titans: Coach Dante’s system

Done are the days of adjusting to coach Dante Alinsunurin’s system, which has time and again proven to be championship-caliber.

The Flying Titans also added Sisi Rondina, who is ready to bring her explosive prowess to the Choco Mucho roster, making the team all the more dangerous this coming PVL conference. With all of these in mind, Choco Mucho fans are definitely excited to see the team reach even greater heights this time around.

Cignal HD Spikers: Positive mentality

“Happiness, Cignal!”

That has always been the mantra of the HD Spikers throughout their up and down journey so far in the PVL.

Coming off a rather slow All-Filipino Conference, Cignal is ready to bounce back in a big way.

The addition of Jovelyn Gonzaga will almost certainly help the team out as it looks to get back to the semifinals and eventually bring home the crown.

Creamline Cool Smashers: Championship mettle

Not much needs to be said about the Cool Smashers. They are, after all, the defending champs for this conference.

Aside from its already stacked roster, Creamline also added Bernadeth Pons to the lineup, making the team even more dangerous. Add to that, Alyssa Valdez is set to make her long-awaited return to the PVL after her knee injury.

All signs point towards another possible championship for Creamline.

F2 Logistics Cargo Movers: Familiarity

The Cargo Movers pretty much know each other since their college days. They know the ins and outs of their system and that’s what makes them dangerous conference after conference.

Come this Invitational Conference, it’s all about consistency for F2 as it looks to improve on its third-place finish in the All-Filipino Conference and finally break through for a championship.

Farm Fresh Foxies: Coach Jerry’s system

It’s definitely been a busy offseason for the Foxies. But one of their biggest and probably best move was the signing of coach Jerry Yee.

Known for his system, Yee has already brought in several of his talented players from both the College of Saint Benilde Lady Blazers and the Adamson Lady Falcons.

While it might take time to get it all together, who knows? Maybe Farm Fresh can surprise us all.

Foton Tornadoes: Point to prove

Finally joining the PVL are the Foton Tornadoes—and they’re out here to prove a point.

Most of the Foton players were part of other PVL teams, but now that they’re with a new team, they are looking to prove their worth and their skills once more.

That alone can make a team very dangerous.

Gerflor Defenders: Eagerness

Though newcomers in the PVL, the Defenders are seemingly ready to make a strong impact right away in the league.

According to coach Edgar Barroga, the team has been doing well in their tune-up games, adding that the excitement of his squad has been palpable during its trainings.

Will Gerflor be able to translate this preseason success come the Invitational Conference itself? We’ll find out soon enough.

Petro Gazz Angels: Hunger to win crown

Fans can argue that if there’s one team really hungry to bring home another PVL title, that’s the Angels.

After falling short against Creamline in the All-Filipino Conference, Petro Gazz is expected to go all-out once more for the Invitational Conference title.

With the same core and system under their belt, it won’t be a shock to see the Angels back in the finals—and maybe this time, they can bring home the title.

PLDT High Speed Hitters: Balanced attack

The High Speed Hitters relied on their balanced attack and strong defense throughout the All-Filipino Conference.

While they fell short of their goal of at least securing a podium finish, the High Speed Hitters continue to be a dangerous opponent for any PVL team.

Maybe this could be the conference that everything comes together for PLDT.

So, how far do you think your favorite PVL team will go in this midseason tourney?

The PVL Invitational Conference will begin on June 27.
