No longer just set wins for the Foxies.
The Farm Fresh Foxies grabbed their second win in the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference after holding off the Galeries Tower Highrisers in four sets, 25-10, 25-18, 24-26, 25-16, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
After a strong first and second set, the Foxies let their guards down and allowed the Highrisers to steal the third set.
Farm Fresh, however, made sure to put an end to the Galeries’ hopes as it dominated the fourth set to finish off the match in style.
Four Foxies scored in double digits led by Trisha Tubu and Kate Santiago, who finished with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Alyssa Bertolano and Rizza Cruz added 11 markers in the victory.
With the win, the Jerry Yee-led Foxies improved to 2-8 in the standings, while the Highrisers remained winless after nine games.
“Sobrang laking bagay kasi 'yung last conference wala pa kaming panalo tas ngayong second conference, nakaka-set tapos nakaka-win pa talaga,” Tubu said during the postmatch press conference.
“Nakaka-boost din siya ng confidence, ng morale, especially kasi dati parang hindi talaga kami nakakakuha ng sets, so parang unti-unti, one step at a time sabi nga ni coach (Jerry) na at least may progress kami kesa naman 'yung dahan-dahan kami pero wala naman,” Santiago added.

Farm Fresh will look to end its campaign on a winning streak as it faces the Nxled Chameleons on Saturday in Iloilo.
“Sobrang eager (kami) na tapusin 'yung season na win tapos 'yun 'yung magiging fuel namin sa susunod na conference na tatapusin namin ng maganda itong conference,” said Tubu.
The Galeries, meanwhile, will try to end its first conference in the PVL with a breakthrough win against the defending champion Creamline Cool Smashers on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.
