The Flying Titans are the hottest team in the league right now.
The Choco Mucho Flying Titans extended their winning streak to nine following a straight-sets beatdown of the Gerflor Defenders, 25-16, 25-17, 25-11, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
The Defenders seemingly had no answer for the Flying Titans’ smooth attacks and impenetrable defense.
Given their large leads throughout the match, Choco Mucho was able to field most of its players, with team captain Bea de Leon leading the way with 13 points built on six attacks, five blocks, and two aces.
Sisi Rondina added 17 points in the victory.
“'Yun naman ang importante sa team namin na kahit sino 'yung ipasok mo, magde-deliver,” coach Dante Alinsunurin said during the postmatch press conference.
“It's been a while, so 'yung confidence ko in this game siyempre tumaas din kasi hopefully nga pagkadating dun, once na tumingin si coach (Dante), may kinailangan 'yung team, ready kami talaga,” de Leon added about her fantastic showing in this match.
The Choco Mucho star also revealed that the team has seemingly integrated itself fully into Alinsunurin’s system, a year since he took over the head coaching position.
“Actually napakabilis nga nung pag-absorb nung system but I think we're there. Definitely, may improve pa for sure,” said de Leon. “I'm sure mas marami pang cards si coach (Dante) sa pockets niya, but yeah, I think definitely everybody's doing well and na-embrace na 'yung system.”

Choco Mucho will have one more match in the elimination round before they head off to the semifinals of the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference.
The Flying Titans are set to face the Chery Tiggo Crossovers on Saturday in Iloilo.
The Defenders, meanwhile, are hoping to grab their first win in the PVL when they take on the Cignal HD Spikers on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.
