Coach Tina is back in the PH volleyball scene.
Tina Salak is officially back in the PVL.
This time around, Salak will join the Akari Chargers as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2024 PVL season, the squad announced on Wednesday.
Salak stepped down for her post as FEU Lady Tamaraws head coach last year as she prepared to migrate to the United States.
In her lone season coaching her alma mater, the Lady Tamaraws just fell short of making the Final Four for Season 85, finishing fifth in the standings with a 6-8 record.
While the overall record seemed modest, it came after a one-win campaign in Season 84.
The addition of Salak continues the ongoing revamp for the Chargers as they look to make a serious push for the semifinals in the new season.
She will be helping interim coach Raffy Mosuela develop the tactics for Akari, while coach Taka Minowa oversees training and conditioning as director of volleyball operations.

During the offseason, Akari added star outside hitter Grethcel Soltones and secured the commitment of middle blocker Ced Domingo
