Nxled finally barged into the winner’s circle of the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference after dispatching Galeries Tower on Tuesday night.

In the battle between two cellar dwellers, the Chameleons proved hungrier for victory as they knocked down the Highrisers, 25-21, 25-18, 25-15 at the PhilSports Arena.

With the win, Nxled put a halt to its three-game losing start for a 1-3 record, while keeping Galeries Tower winless in four matches.

Ivy Lacsina delivered her best performance in conference yet, putting a double-double of 17 points and 11 digs.

Lycha Ebon provided ample support with 15 markers built on 11 attacks and three blocks, while Cam Victoria chipped in 10 points.

After a nip-and-tuck opening set, the Chameleons found their groove in the second frame, behind Lacsina, Ebon and Victoria.

Nxled would sustain its strong pace in the decisive third and seal the game for good.

The Chameleons dominated the Highrisers on all fronts, scoring a 41-35 spiking differential, 8-2 block disparity, and a 5-2 gap in aces.

No one from Galeries Tower scored in double-digits as Ysa Jimenez paced the losing side with eight.

Roma Doromal managed seven points, while Mary Anne Esguerra scored six in the defeat.

Nxled seeks to carry over its momentum when it takes on Akari, while Galeries Tower aims to barge into the win column when it faces Capital1 on March 16, Saturday.

Both matches will be held at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex.
