Akari flaunted its might after taming Nxled in straight sets, 25-17, 25-19, 25-20, in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the Sta.Rosa Sports Complex on Saturday, March 16.

Like a well-oiled machine, the Chargers got off to a strong start, banking on their middle blockers to dictate the tempo for a quick two-set buffer.

Come the decisive third, Akari leaned on the troika of Ced Domingo, Eli Soyud and Fifi Sharma to mount a 23-20 cushion.

Soyud then pushed the squad to match point before Domingo sealed the deal.

Sharma accounted for half of the team's 12 blocks to finish with a game-high 13 points.

Domingo made her presence felt with 12 markers built on 10 attacks and two denials while Grethcel Soltones scattered 10 points she spiked with eight excellent receptions.

Playmaker Michelle Cobb orchestrated the Chargers' offense to the tune of 14 excellent sets to help the squad bounce back from a loss to Petro Gazz the last time out and rise to 2-3.

Meanwhile, the Chameleons failed to follow up on their win over Galeries Tower as they slid to 1-4.

Lycha Ebon was the lone double-digit scorer for Nxled with 11 while May Luna contributed eight markers off the bench.

Akari seeks to carry over the momentum when it faces surging Choco Mucho on March 23, Saturday, at the Ynares Center Antipolo.

Nxled, on the other hand, tries to get back on the winning track when it collides with Chery Tiggo on March 26, Tuesday, at the PhilSports Arena
