There’s definitely an “i” in win, but MJ Perez is more than happy to share her 30-point outing with the Cignal HD Spikers in the PVL Reinforced Conference.
MJ Perez is the ultimate team player, indeed.
After scoring a game-high 30 points, the Venezuelan import deflected her scoring outburst to her teammates in the Cignal HD Spikers.
“I can’t do 30 points alone. I need my teammates, everyone to help me. This is not about me scoring 30, this is about my team helping me,” Perez said in the aftermath of the HD Spikers four-set win over the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles in the PVL Reinforced Conference on Tuesday, July 23.

Perez put up her best offensive game yet as an HD Spiker, reaching the 30-point mark in just her second game for Cignal built on 26 attacks, three aces, and one block.
However, Amiga is quick to downplay her scoring explosion and instead credited her teammates for their second straight pool win in as many games.
“I just go there and do my best for my team,” she added.
Despite now occupying the top spot in Pool B, Perez believed the HD Spikers still have some room for improvement after dropping the third set in a close call over the Thunderbelles before regaining control in the fourth.
“It feels great but we have the feeling that we can do more.”
Perez and the HD Spikers face another young team in the Capital1 Solar Spikers, who they will face next on Saturday, July 27 at 1:00 p.m.
