From their collegiate days to dominating the pro league, we've watched our favorite PVL stars glow up—so now it's time for the Creamline Cool Smashers and Choco Mucho Flying Titans to take us on a Throwback Thursday trip, showing off their old photos
As fans stood by, they watched their favorite Premier Volleyball League (PVL) player flourish, from their younger years until at the peak of their game.
But now, it’s time for the Creamline Cool Smashers and the Choco Mucho Flying Titans to take a trip down the memory lane and do the actual throwback Thursday, cherishing their old photos and showing us how they glow up.
Pangs’ long hair era
“Huy, bakit ‘to?”
That was Creamline’s middle blocker Pangs Panaga’s first reaction when she saw an old photo of herself from her teenage years—looking super young, all girly, holding a volleyball, and rocking long, healthy hair.
“I think it’s my last year sa Palarong Pambansa,” Pangs said, taking a trip down memory lane to those good ol' days.
“Porma porma lang, akala mo talaga babae,” she joked, laughing at her younger self.
Pangs is now in a happy relationship with her long-time partner, Petro Gazz Angels’ Michelle Morente.
Ate Ly’s nene days
Creamline’s Alyssa Valdez is now a volleyball icon, but not too long ago, she was just a regular Alyssa looking cute in her “nene days” during her first year of high school.
“Nag-glow up ba? Sana po,” she joked, laughing at how far she's come!
Yes na yes, Ate Ly!
Jema as a fresh grad girlie
Before she became a force to be reckoned with on the volleyball court, Creamline’s star outside hitter, Jema Galanza, was a student just like many others.
Looking back, she can't help but remember the priceless moment with her mother, who was overflowing with joy on the day of her high school graduation.
“Graduation ko siya no’ng high school. Sobrang happy ng mama ko, ‘diba? Kasi magco-college na ako niyan,” Jema shared, recalling the pride and happiness that moment brought to her and her family.
Young and sweet Sisi
Sisi Rondina has always been stunning, and her throwback photo proves it!
"Ang ganda ko dito," she said, clearly impressed by her past self.
She continued with a laugh, "Sa Venice [Grand Canal Mall] ‘to. Hindi ko alam bakit ako nandito. Hindi naman ako nakipag-date kasi single ako dito!"
And last but not the least,
Multisports girlie Mars
The Choco Mucho setter Mars Alba is the ultimate sporty superstar, racking up medals in all kinds of sports since her elementary days.
“Simula Grade 4 hanggang Senior High School, apat ‘yong sports ko. Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, and Table Tennis,” she shared, listing off her impressive lineup of skills.
Now fully focused on her true passion—volleyball—Mars has zero regrets about exploring all those different sports along the way.
Ikaw na talaga, Mars!
