NU trio happy to leave lasting legacy for Lady Bulldogs as they begin PVL careers

Teammates since high school, and now teammates as well in the PVL.

The NU Lady Bulldogs trio of Jennifer Nierva, Cess Robles, and Joyme Cagande have done it all at the high school and collegiate levels for NU. Now, they want to do more at the next level.

The trio is now set to play for the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the PVL Invitational Conference.

As they bid goodbye to their alma mater, the graduating Lady Bulldogs are happy to leave behind a lasting legacy to the team—a championship.

“Bago talaga kami mag-college, ‘yung target namin is to make championship history sa NU,” Cagande told The Game. “Nung nakamit namin ‘yun, parang for me, it's very fulfilling na may naiwan kami bago kami umalis sa NU.”

The Lady Bulldogs indeed made history in UAAP Season 84 after ending the school’s 65-year drought for the UAAP women’s volleyball crown.

And while it wasn’t the happiest of endings for the NU trio this season, the legacy Robles, Nierva, and Cagande left behind will mean a greater deal in the years to come.

“Ang sarap lang sa pakiramdam na before kami umalis is may naiwan kami ni Joyme and Jen na maganda sa mga bata, so ‘yun maganda yung exit namin,” said Robles.

The NU trio, or now the Chery Tiggo trio, will look to bring their championship experience to the team and hopefully reach even greater heights this coming conference.
