National University setter Owa Retamar orchestrated a convincing win, leading the Bulldogs to a straight-set victory over Adamson University, 25-19, 25-16, 25-18, in the UAAP Season 86 men's volleyball tournament on Saturday, April 20.
Retamar's playmaking was in full display with 15 excellent sets. He also chipped in with an ace.
Nico Almendras and Buds Buddin capitalized on Retamar's sets, helping NU establish a comfortable lead in the second set, 19-14. Leo Aringo finished the game strong with the winning spike in the third set.
With this win, NU solidifies its second place position in the standings with a 10-3 record, while Adamson falls to 9-4.
