Long-time UST head coach Pido Jarencio is totally vibing with the new era for the Growling Tigers.

Gone are the days of mandatory bald heads—he’s ditched that tradition and is all about adapting with his fresh, young squad.

The one-time UAAP champion coach just dropped the ultimate hairstyle freedom pass. Players can rock any look they want—just as long as the Growling Tigers keep racking up wins this season.

“Sabi ko kung anong gusto niyong buhok, isuot niyo. Eh bagay naman sa itsura nila may mga buhok,” Jarencio playfully remarked following UST's 70-55 win against the UE Red Warriors on Season 87’s opening weekend.

Coach Pido’s got his priorities in check—UST can rock any hairstyle they want, just make sure they are winning their games.

“Okay na ako diyan, basta manalo tayo,” he added.

The bald head tradition has been a fierce symbol of commitment for the UST Growling Tigers, embodying their relentless dedication to the team.

The UST Growling Tigers stormed into the UAAP Season 87 men’s basketball tournament with a bang, delivering a commanding win over the UE Red Warriors.
