The UP Fighting Maroons are desperate for a breakthrough victory as they take on the equally struggling Adamson Lady Falcons on Sunday, March 16, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball action.

UP started the season strong with back-to-back wins, but has since suffered four straight losses, tumbling down the standings.

Kassandra Doering remains a bright spot, coming off an 11-point performance against defending champion NU, and will look to carry that momentum to help UP snap its skid.

On the other side, Adamson is also on a downward spiral, dropping three consecutive games after a promising start.

Shaina Nitura, the Lady Falcons’ standout rookie, will try to guide her team back to the win column alongside Frances Mordi, who has been a steady contributor.

With both teams holding identical 2-4 records, this matchup is crucial in keeping their Final Four hopes alive.

Can Doering push UP to a much-needed victory, or will Nitura and Adamson come out on top? The answers unfold on Sunday.
