Gilas Pilipinas Women star Jack Animam returns to Europe, as she embarks on a new journey with Romanian club FCC UAV Arad.

The club announced the 25-year-old Filipina athlete would be playing for them for the 2024-25 season. And it seems Animam is already brushing up on her Romanian.

"Multumesc! Pe curând," she commented on FCC UAV Arad's post, "Thank you! See you soon."

Her return to Europe comes at the heels of Gilas Pilipinas Women's appearance in the first-ever FIBA Women's World Cup 2026 Pre-Qualifying Tournament.

In three games against Brazil, Hungary, and Senegal, Animam averaged 13 points and even ranked third in the tournament with 9.3 rebounds.

She memorably had a double-double of 18 points and 21 rebounds in the Philippines' narrow loss to world number eight Brazil.

This is not the first time Jack will be playing in Europe. She began her European career in January 2023, joining Toulouse Metropole Basket in France’s Ligue Féminine de Basketball. She also had a stint with Radnicki Kragujevac in Serbia before plying her skills for Wuhan Shengfan in the Women's Chinese Basketball Association.

Recently, Animam's stint at the Ringwood Hawks in Australia highlighted her dual ability as a scorer and rebounder by averaging 13.10 points and 8.14 rebounds.

With this amount of international experience at the age of 25, who knows what the 6-foot-5 Jack can do in the future?
