The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas reveal a preliminary 15-man lineup for Gilas Pilipinas ahead of a new FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers window.
Gilas Pilipinas are now gearing up for another window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers.
10 days before the national team hosts New Zealand and Hong Kong for window 2 of these qualifiers, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas unveiled a 15-man pool that will make up the lineup seeing action for two games at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The regular team put together by coach Tim Cone banner the list, namely Justin Brownlee, Chris Newsome, Dwight Ramos, Scottie Thompson, Carl Tamayo, Kai Sotto, Kevin Quiambao, CJ Perez, Calvin Oftana, Jamie Malonzo, AJ Edu, and June Mar Fajardo.
Japeth Aguilar and Mason Amos, who got the Gilas call-up earlier this year as the national team dealt in injuries, remain part of the pool.
A new addition is Ange Kouame, one of the three active naturalized players who last played for Gilas in a FIBA-sanction tournament during the World Cup Qualifiers in 2021.
Gilas Pilipinas, 2-0 so far in Group B of the Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers, will host the Tall Blacks and Hong Kong on November 21 and 24, respectively.
