Pay it forward.

Hooper-turned-news presenter and vlogger Mikee Reyes melted hearts when he took the time to track down and bought gifts for two Palarong Pambansa competitors who both ran in the track and field events without shoes.

On Thursday night, Tito Mikee asked for help to find the tracksters.

"Can someone connect me to Jackierose Orpilla? 'Yung girl na tumakbo sa Palarong Pambansa na walang shoes? Nagva-viral 'yung mga kalokohan ko, pero sana itong importante ang kumalat at umabot sa kanya," Reyes posted.

The following day, Tito Mikee successfully tracked down the student-athletes.

"Meet my new pamangkins, Jackierose Orpilla of Cavite and Shane Labinghisa of Iloilo."

In a short vlog on TikTok with the caption "Mga tunay na inspirasyon," Reyes shared his time with the athletes, buying them shoes and other merchandise needed for their budding career in athletics.

"Na-touch talaga ako doon sa mga kwento nila noong ni-report ko kahapon sa Frontline [Pilipinas]. Ginanahan pa akong magsipag. So 'yung gastos ko today, para muna sa kanila," Reyes said in the vlog.

Avid followers of the former UP Fighting Maroon guard were touched by his gesture and saluted him for supporting and sharing his blessings.
