Another side of the Pinay sensation.
These days Bianca Bustamante's life is centered in the fast lane.
The history-making teenager just signed with McLaren, the first female in the prestigious team's development program. The 18-year-old capped her first F1 Academy season with two top finishes and four total in podium. When not racing, she's also busy meeting legends like former world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Before taking a drastic turn in this life though, Bustamante had other plans.
The Pinoy pride shared on Instagram what she was up to before becoming a full-time racing driver.
"Found something while going through my old drawings. Bia before she was a pro racing driver," Bustamante said while sharing a photo of her old plates and illustrations.

"I've always wanted to pursue architecture and engineering that's why I took STEM, but life had different plans for me. Maybe I'll post and talk more about my drawings during the off-season."

Given how great her initial outputs were, Bustamante could have made a career as an engineer, architect, or even an artist. That could still happen. But that path will have to take a long break because the Pinay racer is destined to make more history on the tracks.
