It might be time to add Carlo Biado’s name among the absolute greats in Philippine billiards, if we didn’t already do so.

Biado added another world title to his collection, winning the Predator WPA Men’s World 10-ball championship in Las Vegas Sunday (PHL).

The man they call “Black Tiger” beat Japan’s Naoyuki Oi in the final, 3-1.

Biado’s victory is his first world title since he won the 9-ball crown in 2017, and the 10-ball title is sweet redemption as he lost in the Finals of the same event in 2015.

The win allowed Biado to bag the cash prize worth $75,000 or around P4.2 million.

Biado’s 10-ball world title also comes three years after he ended a 27-year drought for the Philippines when he won the 2021 US Open in Atlantic City.
