"Happy lang!"—this is the mantra of the Criss Cross King Crunchers as they enter their first Spikers' Turf season.
Coach Tai Bundit's famous "Happy, happy" gets to live again, this time in Spikers' Turf.
The newly-formed Criss Cross King Crunchers have that weight to carry on their shoulders as they enter their maiden season of the Spikers' Turf. Expectations are high considering their stacked lineup filled with former national players and veteran beach volleyball stars.
And of course, there's also coach Tai, known for his winning pedigree in Philippine volleyball.
The pressure is on for the King Crunchers, but a positive mindset is what they'll carry for their first season as a new team.
If the Criss Cross King Crunchers are to describe their team, the first word that pops into mind is most definitely "happy."
"Kasi sa bagong team namin ngayon, it's all about good vibes and playing the sports that we love. I am also being competitive while enjoying the game," said libero Manuel Sumangid III.
"'Yun, 'yung mantra namin. Kada huddle, happy happy lang talaga. Because siguro 'yon 'yong important din, sabi ni Coach Tai. Maybe, lumalabas din talaga 'yong laro namin kapag masaya kami," added Rex Intal.
Team captain Ysay Marasigan also cited Coach Tai's impact with regards to their powerful mantra.
The championship may be the main goal of the Criss Cross King Crunchers, but maintaining a happy mindset is just as important. It should make for a fun debut season for the new team.
