Australia's Stefanie Fejes and Jana Milutinovic are set to defend their women's title as the Philippines gears up to host the 2024 Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships at the Nuvali Sand Courts in Santa Rosa starting November 5.

The duo dominated the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Beach Tour Nuvali Open in April and will return to compete alongside 19 other women’s pairs in the six-day tournament organized by the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF).

Additionally, eight other women’s teams will compete in the qualifying rounds for the last four spots in the main draw, as stated by PNVF and AVC president Ramon “Tats” Suzara.

Iran’s Abbas Pourasgari and Alireza Aghajanighasab are set to return, aiming to defend their men's title from the Nuvali Open and will lead the 20 pairs already confirmed in the men’s main draw.

19 pairs are also confirmed for the qualifying rounds, competing for the remaining four spots in the main draw.

In the women’s category, Jasmine Fleming, who won a silver medal with Georgia Johnson in April, will be back in action, teaming up with Elizabeth Alchin.

The Philippines will rely on the Philippine Air Force duo of Gen Eslapor and Kly Orillaneda, who advanced to the Round of 16 last summer.

Khylem Progella and Sofiah Pagara, teammates from the University of Santo Tomas, are also included in the tournament’s main draw, while a third Philippine pair, Alexa Polidario of the Philippine Army and Jenny Gaviola from the Coast Guard, will seek to advance through the qualifying tournament.

On the men's side, the PNVF beach volleyball program has made changes by pairing Southeast Asian Games veterans Ran Abdilla and James Buytrago.

Additionally, Rancel Varga, who earned a silver medal alongside Buytrago in the FIVB Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Futures in April, will join forces with Lerry John Francisco.

Former University of Perpetual Help standout Ronniel Rosales and ex-National University player Edwin Tolentino are also competing in the men’s qualifiers.
