Damian Chong-Qui made history as the first player in EASL history to record a triple-double, leading the Macau Black Bears to a 111-97 victory over the Busan KCC Egis.
History was made during the Macau Black Bears’ 111-97 win over the on Wednesday, November 6 in the 2024–25 EASL.
Damian Chong-Qu became the first player in the league’s history to finish with a triple-double with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists.
Chong-Qui’s came out of the gates firing on all cylinders, from pull-up jumpers to sudden bursts of speed to flip in a layup.
With the defense surrounding him, the 5-foot-8 guard found his open shooters on the corner or the wing en route to the comfortable victory.
The Black Bears’ 111 points scored was the most by an EASL team so far this season.
“I want to win,” Chong-Qui said in an EASL article. “Anything I need to do out there to win, that’s what I’m going to do. Today, it was rebounding, getting my guys involved, and maintaining my aggressiveness throughout the game. [I’m] just trying to win.”
With four games already played, Macau currently sits with a 2-2 record for second in Group B.
The Black Bears will have a rather long break as their next match will be against the New Taipei Kings on December 11.
