As announced by the Alphas, Kai Sotto is under the B.LEAGUE's concussion protocol following a collision in Koshigaya's win over Yokohama.
It’s been quite the week for Kai Sotto.
The Koshigaya Alphas announced that Sotto was diagnosed with a concussion from a collision during Saturday’s win over his former team Yokohama B-Corsairs in Japan’s B.LEAGUE.
Sotto thus sat out Sunday’s second game against the same opponent.
Kai started and played 13 minutes against Yokohama, scoring seven points.
His appearance came after tweaking his left ankle just days prior in a win against the Nagasaki Velca. Sotto got hurt late in the third quarter last November 6.
Kai Sotto’s return to action will be determined in accordance to B.LEAGUE protocol, although it should be noted that Japan’s top basketball division will resume regular schedule on November 30, giving way to the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers.
