In his first conference with the team, Mark Calado delivered another bronze medal finish for the Savouge Spin Doctors in the 2025 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference.

Calado, who signed with the Spin Doctors after his time with the Cignal HD Spikers, expressed his gratefulness to head coach and CEO Sydney Calderon for allowing him to shine in the team.

The former FEU standout topped the scoring department with 229 points, shining as Savouge's go-to scorer in the conference.

“Happy ako kasi nakatulong ako sa Savouge at very thankful din ako kay Madam [Sydney Calderon] kasi binigyan niya talaga ako ng chance to play sa team nila,” Calado said after Savouge’s Game 2 sweep of VNS-Laticrete, 25-19, 25-23, 25-22, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Friday, April 4.

Despite being a newcomer, Calado quickly adapted to the team’s system and thrived under the trust given to him by the coaching staff and his teammates.

“Naka-adjust na po ako kahit papano. Nagtitiwala kasi talaga sila sa’kin. Siguro 'yung sistema na meron sila, pinilit ko talagang i-adapt para magtuloy-tuloy ako sa conference na ‘to,” he shared.

With a promising first run under his belt, Calado now sets his sights on a bigger goal—delivering a championship for the Spin Doctors.

“‘Yung trust talaga nila sa’kin is nandyan talaga lagi. Hopefully, sana magtuloy-tuloy pa kami next conference at makuha namin 'yung championship,” he said.
