As with most great athletes, retirement is tough. But Pacquiao looks like he’s not done with boxing just yet.
As many predicted, Manny Pacquiao schooled DK Yoo in an exhibition match on Sunday that looked more like a Korean variety show.
The eight-division world boxing champion floored the martial arts guru twice before emerging victorious in the six-round affair via unanimous decision.
Wearing his signature big smile at the end of the bout, Pacquiao was asked by boxer and commentator-for-the-night Seniesa Estrada about the prospect of seeing another Pacman fight next year.
“We’ll see,” he said, laughing.
Could there be really more in the works for the aging legend?
His answer post-match was not definitive. But if his earlier interview with FightHype is any indication, it appears that he is eyeing welterweight juggernauts Terence Crawford or Errol Spence, Jr.
Whether this fight will happen remains a mystery.
But with Pacman turning 44 next week, common sense may dictate that the former senator should just stick to exhibition matches like this fight with Yoo, instead of fighting the consensus 1-2 welterweights in Crawford and Spence.
