A couple members are absent, but it was a cool mini reunion nonetheless.
The first iteration of ONIC PH met up on Wednesday at the M4 World Championships.
On Twitter, John "Zico" Dizon posted a photo of him with EVOS Icon’s Gerald "Dlar" Trinchera, and Blacklist International’s Jonmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna and Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario.
The four were teammates back when they were playing for ONIC PH in Season 4 of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines. They also competed in the M1 World Championships back in 2019, where they finished 9th-12th place.
A lot has changed since then.
“Zico” is now the coach for Cambodia’s Burn x Team Flash, who also competed during the M4 World Championships, but failed to get past the group stage. “Dlar” has been the EXP laner for Indonesia’s EVOS Icon, where they’ve won several local tournaments.
“Vee” and “Wise” have been racking up championships for Blacklist International, both on local and international tournaments. They are the defending M3 World Champions and have a chance to repeat in this year's M4 tourney.
Notably missing from the mini reunion were Allen "Baloyskie" Baloy and Joshwell "Iy4knu" Manaog.
While they may have all gone their separate ways, the friendships made back in 2019 is still there.
