Linsanity effect? Most likely.
The New Taipei Kings lived up to their name anew, as they outlasted the Meralco Bolts, 97-92, on Wednesday at the New Taipei Xinzhuang Gymnasium in the East Asia Super League (EASL).
With the victory, the Kings are now 2-0 to start the season. The Bolts, on the other hand, are still in search of their first win after two outings.
Leading the charge for the Kings was none other than former NBA star Jeremy Lin. Posting 25 points, four rebounds, and seven assists, the 35-year-old cager showed why he was once a coveted talent in the NBA. Without a doubt, Lin’s latest hardwood recital impressed the supporters of New Taipei and countless of Linsanity fans.
Perhaps the basketball world is seeing a rebirth of Lin’s career, and his Day 1s are loving it.

On Wednesday, TNT Tropang Giga big man Poy Erram appeared to be one of Lin’s longtime followers, as he commented on the EASL star's Instagram post following the Kings’ win over Meralco.
Erram typed in three fire emojis to express his support.
Lin gained his worldwide notoriety in 2012 when he strung up several spectacular performances while playing for the New York Knicks. His run included game-winners, stat-stuffing outings, and a massive performance against Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers.
During that time, Linsanity captivated basketball lovers across the globe, which most likely included Erram.
TNT is also a participant in the EASL, but unfortunately for Erram, he won’t be able to share the court with Lin, as he is still recovering from a knee injury. Plus, the Tropang Giga remain winless in the other bracket.
