'My goodness': Fans react to Robert Bolick going to NLEX, San Miguel getting Don Trollano

Robert Bolick's move to the NLEX Road Warriors is arguably the biggest news of the PBA Commissioner's Cup so far.

The PBA approved the trade on Monday, although it became a three-team deal after the San Miguel Beermen joined the fray. In the revised trade, Bolick and Kent Salado will join the Road Warriors, the Beermen will get Don Trollano, while the NorthPort Batang Pier will acquire Kris Rosales, Ben Adamos, Jeepy Faundo, Allyn Bulanadi, and a second round draft pick next year.

Bolick was supposed to suit up for the Fukushima Firebonds in the Japan B.League after signing a two-year deal. Instead, he prioritized his wife's delicate pregnancy and returned to the Philippines.

Of course, in a post of One Sports' on Facebook, fans had to make their feelings known about Bolick's return to the PBA, this time with NLEX.

Some said it was a fair trade, with the Road Warriors needing another prolific guard with Kevin Alas nursing an ACL injury and the Batang Pier getting something out of nothing since Bolick wasn't even playing for them anyway.

Some noted that it was right for NorthPort to part ways with Bolick since Arvin Tolentino has grabbed the torch as the team's star. Guys like Joshua Munzon, Cade Flores, Fran Yu, and Brent Paraiso have been contributing as well.

Many, meanwhile, predicted that Bolick will soon find his way to the TNT Tropang Giga as an able replacement for Mikey Williams and the future successor of Jayson Castro.

Fans, in a post of the PBA on Facebook, also reacted to San Miguel getting another quality player in Don Trollano. The high-scoring forward just had his breakout campaign last season, getting his first-ever Mythical Team nod.

Bolick could make his debut for NLEX as early as this Wednesday against, incidentally, TNT.

San Miguel will take on the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel this Friday. NorthPort won't see action until December 20 against the Phoenix Fuel Masters.
