Converge took down Magnolia Monday in the PBA Governors’ Cup, scoring an 89-82 win at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Now winners of four-straight games, the FiberXers ended the elimination round with a strong 6-4 record for the no. 3 seed in Group A.
Converge will move on to the quarterfinals, taking on San Miguel in a best-of-5 series. Meanwhile, the Hotshots finished fourth in the group with a 5-5 record.
Magnolia will be paired against Rain or Shine in the next round.
