TNT will look to carry over the momentum of its Game 5 win over Ginebra when they tangle anew in the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup Finals on Friday, Nov. 8.
One by one, Ginebra players emerged from the dugout with their heads down at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Frustration was palpable, especially following the Gin Kings 72-99 beatdown in the hands of TNT in the all-important Game 5 of their best-of-seven PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup Finals tiff.
The atmosphere was to be expected since the Tropang Giga secured the series lead anew, 3-2, and thus moved just a victory away from defending their crown — their 10th overall in the league.

Ginebra do-it-all guard Scottie Thompson had a simple explanation for the defeat that halted the Gin Kings' hot two-game streak.
"Na-outplay nila kami. They came out really aggressive this game. That’s it," said Thompson, who poured all of his 13 points in the first quarter but could not come up with anything after that.
"'Yung adjustment nila, talagang nag-work sa kanila,” he added.
TNT simply did everything right from the get-go, opening with a 15-7 lead behind veteran Kelly Williams before shifting into high gear in the second to end the first half with an insurmountable 56-33 advantage.
The Tropang Giga never wavered from there.

But Thompson and the rest of Ginebra aim to quickly dust themselves off as they head toward Game 6 with everything on the line.
“Whatever the past is, especially the game tonight, kailangan naming i-put away 'yun. We have to keep moving forward. Coming sa next game, stay positive,” said Thompson.
Match is set on Friday, Nov. 8, at the same venue.
