Vic Manuel suited up for the Terrafirma Dyip for the first time in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup after missing the opener due to illness.
Vic Manuel made a rousing debut with his new squad Terrafirma in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup on Saturday, Nov. 30.
After missing the Dyip's opener against Converge due to illness, Manuel suited up against NorthPort at the Ynares Center in Antipolo and made impact right away for the team.
Manuel made the most of the extended playing time he hardly got in a San Miguel uniform, finishing with a team-high 23 points he topped with five rebounds, two assists and one steal in a little over 26 minutes on the floor.
Unfortunately, those numbers were not enough to save Terrafirma from tumbling to a 101-113 loss — its second straight — to the Batang Pier.

Still, he was the only bright spot for the Dyip.
After all, Terrafirma is dealing with injuries to key players Terrence Romeo, the other piece in Terrafirma's trade with the Beermen, and import Ryan Richards.
Romeo, who showed up in street clothes at the game, is reportedly nursing a calf strain.
On the other hand, Richards suffered a mid-back spasms, according to courtside reporter Bea Escudero.
Since there was no progress after treatment and medication, the coaching staff decided not to field him in.
The Dyip would need both Romeo and Richards at their 100 percent in order to avoid spiraling into a 0-3 skid in the mid-season conference.
Terrafirma squares off with NLEX, which parades hulking import Mike Watkins, on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Malate.
Gametime is at 5 p.m.
