Converge is fielding in Justine Baltazar, the top overall pick in the PBA Draft last July, in their PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup match against NorthPort on Thursday, Dec. 12.
Justine Baltazar is all set for the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup.
Converge assistant coach Charles Tiu confirmed this development to One Sports on Thursday, Dec. 12.
Baltazar will suit up for the FiberXers when they face NorthPort on the same day in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup.
“Balti will play,” Tiu said via Facebook Messenger.
Just a day earlier, Converge announced its signing of the prized forward on its social media pages.
Tiu said the 6-foot-8 Baltazar has been practicing with the team the past two days after leading Pampanga to back-to-back titles in the MPBL last Dec. 7.
“He has practiced the last two days,” Tiu said.
Baltazar emerged as the top overall pick in the recent PBA Draft but needed to finish his contract with the Delta Pineda-led squad.
