Blackwater coach Jeff Cariaso gives an update on injured star Sedrick Barefield.
Blackwater star Sedrick Barefield is showing improvement in his road back from a plantar fasciitis injury, but there is no exact date yet as to his return.
Barefield sustained the injury last December which has forced him to sit out four games now for Blackwater.
He last saw action in the Bossing's 102-115 loss to San Miguel exactly a month ago.
“Last couple of days have been positive for him,” said Cariaso on Wednesday, Jan. 15 after the Bossing improved to 2-7 in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup.

Blackwater is taking the necessary precautions to ensure that Barefield will be ready when he plunges back into action.
“We are being smart with his plantar fasciitis injury. We’re hoping when he comes back, he’s back for good. That’s why we're not rushing him.”
While the Bossing will definitely need Barefield in their faceoff with Converge on Sunday, Jan. 19, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo, his availability for that match remains up in the air.
