After 11 games of futility, Terrafirma finally scored a win in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup, thanks to rookie Mark Nonoy's 33-point eruption.
Mark Nonoy and Co. did not want to end Terrafirma's PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup campaign with bitter taste in their mouths.
Thus, Nonoy erupted for 33 points and the Dyip overcame the Rondae Hollis-Jefferson-led TNT, 117-108 at the Ynares Center in Antipolo on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
Nonoy shot 10-for-13 from the field as he and the rest of Terrafirma negated Hollis-Jefferson's own 41-point eruption for the erstwhile raging Tropang Giga.
The Dyip, with no win to show yet in 11 tries, left their all on the floor to finally emerge victorious as they head to the exit door.
Meanwhile, TNT was knocked off the first spot and instead joined Rain or Shine at fifth.
The Tropang Giga will aim to swiftly get back on their feet against Phoenix on Friday, Jan. 24.
