Fulfill your goals together with NLEX Road Warrior Kevin Alas as he bares his Bucket List.
Kevin Alas takes whatever the Lord gives him and turns to Him when confronted with life’s biggest challenges, including his ACL injuries.
The mild-mannered Alas is grateful for everything, good or bad.
Thinking about his goals for the future, the NLEX Road Warrior is hoping he could get his hands on a PBA championship trophy, but he still leaves this to God's will.
The former Letran ace shared more about his Bucket List in this brief chat with One Sports.
One Sports: Can you share your bucket list, anything you want to do or experience in the next five or 10 years?
Kevin Alas: Of course, I’m very grateful sa lahat ng achievements ko sa career ko. Lahat naman 'yan by God’s grace, eh. Of course, I would want to win a championship sana.
I don’t know when. Sometimes it’s frustrating 'pag natatalo pero I just have to remind myself na grateful ako kay God na nandito ako't nakalalaro na ulit. Whether I win a championship or not, grateful pa rin ako. [Nanalo ako ng gold sa] national team; rookie year ko, nakapag-champion na rin ako.
Of course, I’m still going to work hard pa rin. Ibibigay ko pa rin 'yung best ko para makuha 'yung, who knows, 'yung championship.
OS: Is there any item on your bucket list outside of basketball?
Kevin: Siguro, not now, pero one day, I want to be around basketball pa rin. Kasi I grew up in a basketball family. So I'm hoping na after my career, I don’t know when, talagang I want to be involved sa basketball pa rin.
OS: Are you going to follow in your father’s (coach Louie Alas) footsteps?
Kevin: I honestly don’t know. Of course, I don’t know what the Lord’s will is sa buhay ko. But 'yun lang siguro, if you ask me, 'yun lang 'yung hope ko, maging part pa rin ako ng basketball community.

OS: Among the aforementioned, which one do you want to achieve this year?
Kevin: Of course, lahat naman kami dito naglalaro to win a championship, eh. Right now, nasa bottom of the standings kami. Siyempre, gusto kong this year, makapag-champion. Right now, it doesn’t look good for us. But I’m still hoping talaga for a championship.
