Ginebra is a win away from claiming the PBA Commissioner’s Cup championship. Fans don’t want to miss the moment they hang another banner.
Wherever Ginebra goes, its legion of fans follows.
So expect Ginebra matches to be a sold out game, with some resorting to scalpers outside arenas just so they can watch their favorite players strut their stuff.
The ongoing PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals between the Kings and the Bay Area Dragons is no exception.
On Sunday, 21,836 screaming fans trooped to Mall of Asia Arena to see Ginebra beat Bay Area, 101-91, and seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.
With the Gin Kings a win away from claiming the mid-season championship, more fans want to be part of the electric crowd chanting “Ginebra! Ginebra! Ginebra!”
However, it appears tickets are already sold out just a day after Ginebra’s Game 5 conquest. Some supporters expressed their dismay on Twitter.
@joyyabsss would rather wish the series go to a deciding Game 7 just so she could catch the game at the Philippine Arena.
We couldn’t agree more with @47AppleJoyRS. Scalpers selling those tickets double the price are the worst!
Some, though, are optimistic.
But there’s still a chance for these fans. A quick look at the website of Ticketnet reveals there are tickets available. But they would have to settle for General Admissions tickets at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
So choose: either support your team from the comforts of your home or from all the way up the GA area where you can still join the Ginebra wave.
