The Bolts are back in the win column with a 3-1 record.
On a night he put on a tour de force perfomance, Allein Maliksi made special mention of one player from the second group that keyed Meralco Bolts’ 125-99 win over Blackwater Bossing in their PBA Governors’ Cup match on Saturday.
He was talking about Anjo Caram.
Maliksi had his second highest output in a Meralco uniform with 30 points. But he gave credit to their bench mob led by the pint-sized point guard.
“I give credit to the second group especially Anjo Caram. Kakabalik niya lang from injury. Bumalik siya at nagbigay siya ng energy sa second group. Dun nagkaroon ng separation,” said Maliksi.
Meralco coach Norman black echoed his sentiments.
“He really lifted us in the first half. He came in and kept making his 3 point shots,” said Black.
Coming off a foot injury, Caram immediately made his presence felt, uncorking 18 points and dishing out 2 assists.
But he shone the brightest in the second period, where he unloaded 3 triples on his way to 13 points.
“It’s just nice to have him here,” said Black.
