Rachel Anne Daquis made her much-anticipated volleyball return, suiting up for the Farm Fresh Foxies in their four-set victory over the Galeries Tower Highrisers, 28-26, 17-25, 25-19, 25-17, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Thursday, January 30.
After 551 days away from competitive volleyball, Daquis stepped onto the court late in the opening set, marking her comeback after more than a year of recovery and training.
While her playing time was limited, her presence alone was enough to energize the young Farm Fresh squad, who went on to secure their fourth win in the conference.
The Foxies showed resilience after dropping the second set, bouncing back behind their steady offense and composed endgame execution.
In the fourth set, Farm Fresh pulled away early behind Trisha Tubu, who was unstoppable throughout the match as she finished with a career-high 33 points on 28 attacks, one block, and four service aces
The Foxies improved to 4-4, while Galeries Tower continues to struggle in the conference with a 1-7 record.
With Daquis now in the fold, Farm Fresh looks to build momentum as they battle the PLDT High Speed Hitters on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
