Maybe one of them is a doctor or a teacher in another universe.
“What would your profession be if you weren’t playing volleyball?”
For Petro Gazz Angels’ Remy Palma, it was quite simple.
“Pangarap ko talaga maging chef, sa totoo lang,” Palma said in a video posted by One Sports on Labor Day.
It was only natural for the Apalit, Pampanga native, she added.
“Coming from Pampanga, parang may culinary background. Parang naturally born naman yata na marunong magluto talaga kapag Kapampangan,” the PVL best middle blocker said.
As for Tots Carlos, she would probably still be in sports albeit in a different capacity.
“I really don't know. Ever since bata pa ako I’m really into sports so I really don't know,” the PVL MVP said with a smile.
While there’s a chance she can pursue this alternative career at a later time, Palma would rather focus on what’s in front of her. She’s not dwelling on the “what ifs.”
“Sabi ko kapag nagkapera ako mag-eenroll ako sa culinary school. Pero hindi ko pa rin alam e,” she said. “Iche-cherish ko pa rin kung ano meron ako ngayon. Kung ano nasa harapan ko.”
Perhaps when she’s retired, then?
“Ayoko pa naman mag-retire. Parang malayo pa 'ko dun,” she said.
