The new PVL teams are bringing more excitement to the league.
With the addition of three new teams in the PVL, fans will get to see more intense volleyball action and possibly new stars that will make a name in the pro league.
On Tuesday, the Farm Fresh Foxies announced that UAAP and NCAA women's volleyball coach Jerry Yee will be leading the charge for the newly-formed PVL team.
That’s already on top of signing NCAA Season 97 MVP Mycah Go.
Several fans can't help but be ecstatic over the move given Yee’s resume as a coach for the Adamson Lady Falcons and the College of Saint Benilde Lady Blazers. Yee led the volleybelles from San Marcelino to the Final Four in UAAP Season 85. He also coached the CSB spikers towards back-to-back championships in NCAA Seasons 97 and 98.
Also making moves are the Quezon City Gerflor Defenders.
The team recently announced that UP Fighting Maroons rising star Alyssa Bertolano and seasoned veteran Shannen Palec will be joining the team come the PVL Invitational.
The 20-year-old Bertolano decided to forgo her remaining playing years in the UAAP, while Palec is set to make her return to the PVL after leaving the Chcoo Mucho Flying Titans back in 2021.
Their arrival to Gerflor has been met with some positive reactions from fans.
Fans can expect a lot from these new teams once the PVL Invitational Conference kicks off this month—and we can’t wait.
