Her passion for the game must be at an all-time high.
Alyssa Valdez may have just reached the final destination on her road to recovery. The knee injury she suffered late last year appeared to be devastating but the 29-year-old superstar took the hit and everything that comes with it in stride. One step at a time, she worked her way into regaining her old form.
On Monday night, she went on her social media pages and posted a beautiful picture of her soaring high, simulating that signature attack she does on the volleyball court.
The image was part of a photoshoot Valdez had done for the talent agency VGM Asia. For a caption, the decorated outside hitter tackled the reasons behind her undying love for the game. Aside from that, she also expressed how excited she is that she’s once again able to jump like she used to.
“So glad I have volleyball. My home. My outlet. My love. And grateful I have met the people really close to my heart because of volleyball,” the Phenom wrote.
“After 7 months, I am able to jump again,” she added.
A day ago, the former Ateneo Blue Eagles standout shared a workout photo she had with MJ Phillips, which practically said how thrilled they are for the opening day of the PVL Invitational Conference.
Later today, Valdez’s Creamline Cool Smashers will return to action in the PVL Invitational curtain-raiser. The ladies in pink are set to face the revamped Chery Tiggo Crossovers at 6:30 p.m. inside the Filoil EcoOil Arena in San Juan City.
Before that, the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers and Farm Fresh Foxies will clash at 1:30 p.m., to be followed by a collision between the Petro Gazz Angels and the Cignal HD Spikers at 4 p.m.
