Tokyo 2020 silver medalist Carlo Paalam begins his 2025 on a positive note, sharing heartfelt life advice that emphasizes the importance of family.
Carlo posted a photo of his family at a restaurant, alongside his wife, Earlshane, and daughter, Celeste, showing how he cherishes moments with his loved ones.
“Need advice? Spend time with your family, mamasyal kayo, kumain sa labas, live your life with them take a lot of pictures, create a memories, pag kaya pa libre mo sila kahit paminsan minsan,” the two-time Olympian shared on his Instagram.
Beyond his boxing achievements, Carlo has always expressed immense gratitude for his family’s unwavering support.
“Sa likod ng aking tagumpay taus pusong pasasalamat ko po sa lahat ng sumusuporta at nag dasal sa akin simula sa aking laro hanggang sa makamit ko ang gintong medalya,” he wrote, after winning gold in the ASBC Asian Championships back in 2022.
“Sa mga pamilya ko po maraming salamat Paalam family, Burlat family at Padilla family! Higit sa lahat sa maybahay ko na si Earlshane Padilla-Paalam love salamat!” he added.
His daughter, Celeste, also serves as his biggest inspiration in the ring. “My favorite love kay dady nak para sa imo tanan,” Paalam shared along with a picture of his baby on Instagram.
As the new year begins, Paalam offers more wisdom.
“Ang pera nababalik, yung oras hindi,” reminding everyone to value time over money.
Although his redemption journey in the Paris 2024 Olympics ended in a narrow loss, Carlo’s dedication to his family remains steadfast, and they continue to fuel his drive in and out of the ring.
