The double Olympic gold medalist is set to be honored as the 2024 Athlete of the Year in the upcoming Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Awards night on January 27, Monday at the Manila Hotel.
Yulo made history in the Olympic Games Paris 2024, becoming the first Filipino to own multiple gold medals after conquering the men’s floor exercise and vault events.
Paris 2024 bronze medalists and pugilists Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas will also be recognized at the event and will receive the President’s Award.

Another Olympic gold medal winner in weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz-Naranjo will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Meanwhile, 10-time PBA champion June Mar Fajardo and UAAP Season 86 MVP Kevin Quiambao are “Mr. Basketball’ in the professional and amateur basketball scene, respectively.
